BOOGIE
BELGRADE
GUIDE

Boogie was born in Belgrade, grew up in Belgrade, and Belgrade is often the main character in Boogie’s photos. Street photography has been his passion for almost thirty years. Usually he captures people and situations from the margin. There he finds the truth, he says. He is devoted and valuable, from his photographs we can see life as it really is.

DEDICATED TO THE CITY
THAT MADE ME WHO I AM.
LONG LIVE BELGRADE.

– BOOGIE –

BOOGIE

Boogie began photographing rebellion and unrest during the civil war that devastated his country during the 1990s. Growing up in Belgrade, Serbia and ensuing conflict in the region defined his style of documenting the grittiness and reality of daily life…

Since moving to New York City in 1998 he shot for high profile clients, and his work has been featured in world-renowned publication. He has exhibited in major cities all over the world…

Boogie lives and works between Brooklyn and Belgrade.

Boogie has exhibited all over the world, lately in Paris, New York, Tokyo, Milan, Istanbul and Los Angeles. He works for big clients (Nike, Air Jordan, New York Yankees, HBO …) and his photos are published by major world magazines (Time Magazine, Playboy, The New York Times, The Rolling Stone …).
So far he has published six monographs and Belgrade Guide (New Moment, 2017) is the first one published locally. Besides the collection of excellent photographs, the book also presents a hommage to Belgrade city to which Boogie is bound. Boogie has a wife and two children and says – There is no philosophy here, things are the way they are, I’m a happy man, I have a great family and I photograph like crazy. That’s it.
